Life changes...

Been a while...
This has sure been quite the year.

My Mom passed away in May, she fell and broke her hip on April 19th and 3 weeks to the day she died.

She suffered a heart attack the day after the fall, had to have her right hip replaced the day after that.  Unfortunately the damage to the heart was just too much... 

It's sad and I miss her a lot.

Of course the dementia took her away from us way before she died, so it was like we lost her twice.

Rest in peace Mom!
We love you and miss you very much!!

I must be a terrible blogger!!!

Well it's official!!

I am a terrible blogger!

I love to talk and tell stories but obviously not in writing!

I had great plans to write this great "as I went" type blog... with pictures and everything...


Yup I suck... Oh well...

I guess I can always post a few pics and talk about that, now can't I??

When I look at this pictures I go.. "aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"

I really did enjoy my holiday... It was a trip of a lifetime...

This was taken on the beach at Coco Cay in the Bahamas... and yup life was feeling pretty good!!! With the wind blowing the coconut/palm trees around pretty good, the whiteness of the sands, the blueness of the water, it was definitely an "aaaahhhhhhh" moment for sure!

So when I look at this picture...

I am remembering the heat... (it was really stinkin' hot)

I am remembering how bright the sun was... (yeah and my freakin' sunglasses got wrecked by this really nice lady that sat beside me at a luau so I was using non prescription ones and they sucked!!)



I am remembering the feel of the sand... (okay ewww - I didn't like that so much cause it got EVERYWHERE!!!)


I am remembering the interesting depth of the water... (it was so low that when you laid on your floating beach mat you could touch the bottom and there was a TON of seaweed... but it was so warm and inviting that you forgot all the "intestesting" stuff)



Okay Okay... enough already...



Changing the subject from my wonderful holiday...

I absolutely LOVE this photo of my brother, my Mom and my sister!!

First of all I was absolutely tickled that my baby brother would wear a flowered hat and lei at the "tea party" that I planned for his daughters; then I was even further tickled when he played up the part. Toasting his oldest daughter (she's 5), with "Hail to Princess Shayla"!!!

It was hilarious and wonderful all at the same time!

Of course having these blackmail photos will, I'm sure, assisted me later on in life! hahahaha

The look that his youngest daughter (she's 2) gave him when she saw him in his "hat", was priceless - she actually cocked her head to one side, then shook her head and gave him a look that said, "Oh duuuude!!! You sooooo gave in!!!"

We giggled and laughed about that for ages!!!

Okay so this might not be so bad... let's see if I can keep this up for a while...

Challenge to myself - write something at least once a week!
